The marimba virtuoso Raphael Christen and I share a deep musical bond which never fails to inspire new creativity. Raphael and I have performed together as « Duo Synthesis » since 2002 and have achieved great acclaim amongst critics.

The tonal relationship between the two instruments, marimba and euphonium, creates an almost boundless sphere of possiblities. Up to now no less than twelve renowned composers such as Carl Rütti, Thüring Bräm or Fritz Voegelin have written works for our duo. With way over 100 concerts behind us including a tour of Japan, we have travelled often and far. But that is only the beginning. Synthesis makes us thirsty for more!
